Responsibilities
- Evaluate activities at the Rieke New Albany plant to confirm compliance with quality standards and established policies and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed quality requirements.
- Work all shifts as needed to support production quality and new product development.
- Identify and report quality data internally and externally.
- Performs a variety of quality control tests on products at various production stages to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
- Record statistical data and assist in reconciliation and special project research as needed.
- Analyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards; recommend modifications to existing or new standards, methods or procedures.
- Enable effective communication between management and operators.
- Prepare for ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 internal audits and ensure timely completion of LPA's.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection on color programs to verify compliance with customer requirements; review vendor documentation for accuracy and compliance; prepare documentation for acceptance or rejection; prepare design samples and range boards.
- Assign and review work with quality technicians; train and work effectively with employees from diverse backgrounds and training levels.
- Develop written work procedures, policies, reports, instructions, briefings and other documents.
- Identify, segregate, prepare required documents, and report all non-conforming materials to appropriate personnel.
- Complete customer QN investigations with relevant data (failure modes, clean points, lot traceability, etc.).
- Oversee floor QC issues by ensuring daily resolution of floor quality issues and guiding floor leadership based on established criteria.
- Oversee GP-12 safe launches, train GP-12 inspectors, collect and analyze data, train floor leadership, write inspection reports, and take overall responsibility for safe-launch efforts.
Qualifications
Experience providing Quality Systems training to employees.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, QA applications and general math.Familiarity with gauge / inspection processes.Strong communication skills; verbal and written.Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Green Belt and CAPA experience preferred.Ability to communicate with all levels of the plant, including mentoring, training, and root cause analysis.3 years of experience in quality management systems with working knowledge of statistical process controls, preferably in the plastics industry.Knowledge of good manufacturing practices.Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with high volume, fast-moving consumer goods.Excellence in process, product and system audits; technical writing experience preferred; demonstrated experience leading teams and taking initiative.J-18808-Ljbffr
