The client is looking for a candidate with at least 3-5 years of strong foundation in accounting, having corporate accounting experience, be a business partner who can be flexible to work with different groups.
Top Required Skills :
Experience in Operational Accounting, posting journal entries, reconciliation, etc.
Experience in streamlining and process improvement within projects and should be able to demonstrate their experience.
Public Accounting and Private industry experience and having experience being an auditor.
SOX compliance.
Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or other analytical degree with equivalent work experience
- Public accounting experience at least 3-5 years of strong foundation in accounting, having corporate accounting experience, be a business partner who can be flexible to work with different groups.
- Experience in accounting financial reporting, or other relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills in closing process gaps and resolving issues
- Proficiency with MS Excel and advanced functionality
- Demonstrated aptitude with a desire to learn and apply emerging technologies
Added bonus if you have (Preferred) :
- Big 4 Accounting experience
- Financial Services, Banking, Insurance or Treasury
- Mix of public and private accounting
- Large company experience
- Hands on experience with Tableau, Power BI reporting tools
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate and timely preparation and delivery of financial results in conformity with US GAAP and IFRS while supporting department and company-wide initiatives to develop our business and grow internal capabilities.
What youll be doing :
Ensuring all daily and month accounting activities are completed
Performing timely preparation and / or review of all journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintaining and operating effective internal controls as well as thorough procedural documentation
Coordinate internal and external audit requests
Understand and apply US GAAP and implement new accounting guidance when necessary
Participate in financial reporting process for preparing quarterly and annual financial statements as well as the quarterly submissions to Japan
