Shift : Nights / 7p-7a, 12x4, 48hrs / week, EOW
Length : 13 Weeks
Holiday Requirements In the holiday rotation with core staff

Charting System : Allscripts - Sunrise
Float to like units only. If floated to higher acuity it would be to work as a help all and not take a patient load.
Beds 48 (two buildings)
Nurse : Patient Ratios 1 : 4-6 Nights 1 : 5-6 LPNs available, virtual admission and discharge nurses to assist as well. Primary care nursing model is frequently used. Must be okay with this.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients Neuro- laminectomy, cervical fusion, LESI, belly surgery-ostomies, hernia repair, joint replacement-total hips / knees.
PICC, TPN, Lipids. Fem pop bypass, dialysis catheter insertions, BKA, AKA. DM (dialysis is also located on the 3rd floor) PCA, some epidurals, iv abx, chronic pain (narcotics), sepsis, urgent OR cases.
