Summary

We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing scalable, robust and high-quality solutions.

As an engineer you are a professional with several years of hands-on experience, possessing senior technical skills and in-depth knowledge.

You excel in problem-solving, effective communication, guiding and mentoring other engineers, making critical technical decisions, and contributing to the strategic direction of projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study.

Professional Experience

At least 5 years of demonstrable experience delivering code into production cloud applications in a team environment.

Soft Skills

• Mid to Advanced English level.
• Open to learning new technologies.
• Great communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• An innate desire to work on difficult problems and learn new systems.

Required Skills

• 3 - 4 years of experience working with Golang.
• Production experience with Ruby on Rails highly desirable.
• Experience working with secured APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc).
• Cloud computing experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).
• Solid understanding of the architecture of database-backed web applications, including web process architectures, threading, ORMs.
• Basic understanding of system administration in a Linux, Apache, MySQL environment.
• Understanding of relational databases and knowledge of SQL.
• Exposure to the basics of Enterprise-class product development : comfort with process and tools including bug tracking, IDE’s, compilers, debuggers, profilers, version control systems, code coverage tools, automated testing tools, usability.
• Intrinsic motivation : you fix things because they are broken and need fixing.

Nice to Have skills

Production experience with at least one interpreted language like Ruby or Python.
