Clinical Cardiology Nurse
The Clinical Cardiology Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the practice of nursing.
Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice. Responsibilities include :
- Providing competent health care to patients and families
- Ensuring accurate documentation of care
- Offering health and wellness education to individuals and groups
- Acting as a preceptor and supporting the development of other staff and healthcare students
- Providing leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care and clinical outcomes
- Assisting in the development of departmental standing orders
- Handling telephone triage and medication refills
- Managing Cardiology RN worklist, including preauthorization and scheduling challenges
