Overview

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for general office duties not limited to, ordering supplies, filing, mail / postage.

Role would also be responsible for assisting DOF with issuing and maintaining records of PO’s, coding and posting invoices, maintaining statements, journaling receipts & deposits.

Duties involving the reception desk will also fall under the responsibilities, such as answering phone calls, directing and following up on inquiries.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00 - $21.50.

This position will remain open until Sept 13, 2024

Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of approximately 3,000.

The venue is located in downtown Greensboro at 300 N. Elm Street. A $94M, state-of-the-art facility that has transformed downtown Greensboro (NC), the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts venue is home to touring Broadway productions, concerts, Guilford College’s Bryan Series, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra performances, comedy shows and all types of family entertainment.

In its remarkable first two years, the Tanger Center has hosted over 700,000 patrons, 382 events and performances and 146 sold-out shows.

Presented with partners Nederlander and Professional Facilities Management (PFM), the First Bank Broadway Series is one of the nation’s top-selling one-week Broadway series with over 16,000 Season Seat Members.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
  • Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, taking notes, and making travel plans
  • Preparing meeting and training rooms
  • Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary
  • Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks
  • Performing ad-hoc administrative duties
  • Answering, forwarding, and screening phone calls
  • Sorting and distributing mail
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Scheduling appointments

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 (two) years’ experience within a professional office setting
  • Consistent, professional dress, and manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good time management skills
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
