The Cleanroom Lab Technician plays a crucial role in preparing and analyzing samples primarily sub-millimeter particles using stereomicroscopy and other specialized techniques.
This role involves collaborating with a team to perform materials characterization and small particle analysis for clients.
The technician will also support laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, reagent and supply preparation, and inventory management.
The goal is to maintain laboratories, equipment, and supplies to meet the scientific and business needs
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare and characterize samples using established procedures and specialized techniques within a cleanroom environment.
- Follow client-specific procedures and documentation requirements for preparing special samples, ensuring safety and security protocols are observed.
- Prepare and stock laboratory supplies as needed in the cleanroom, ensuring equipment and instruments are maintained according to established procedures and ISO 14644 standards to deliver reliable and scientifically sound results.
- Collaborate with the procurement specialist to order necessary laboratory and cleanroom supplies, maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties in the laboratory as assigned.
- Maintain professionalism and effective communication with clients and colleagues, displaying a respectful and positive attitude at all times.
- Identify opportunities for improving laboratory efficiency and operations, and advise management accordingly.
- Ensure all duties comply with MA's Quality Management System (QMS), client requirements, and regulatory standards, making recommendations for continuous improvement as needed.
Competence Requirements :
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Preferred : Minimum of one year of experience in a laboratory environment.
- Preferred : Experience in an FDA regulated / GMP and / or ISO environment.
- Proficiency with computers and software programs, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and experience with record-keeping.
