POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible for protecting STU’s integrity with customers by completing audits and recommending improvements. Communicate audit progress and findings and improves protection by recommending changes in the internal control structure.
Enforce and improve all Standardized Work Processes and procedures for the continued improvement of STU.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure that all of the staff is adhering to company policies and work procedures.
- Ensure that good housekeeping and safe work practices are part of everyone’s daily work habits. Maintain quality lab housekeeping.
- Assist with the training of production associates.
- Inspect returnable containers for defective or missing latches and hinges.
- Complete Layered Audit on a daily basis.
- Perform part weight studies as required per process frequency.
- Approve all 1st piece products, to include gauging activity, to master sample / appearance criteria.
- Verify each process at least two times per shift, increase frequency as needed (i.e. scrap issues, quality alerts, process adjustments, associate training)
- Verify that containers are labeled properly and audit samples from containers for quality assurance.
- Complete defective material tags for all non-conforming products and quarantine material in the designated quality hold area.
- Communicate needed adjustments and non-standard or non-conforming operations to Process Tech / Shift Supervisor.
- Generate daily report of all non-conformances found during the shift.
- Input data into Plex as required.
- Perform dock auditing as designated.
- Other assignments as designated by the Shift Supervisor.
SPECIFICATIONS :
- Strong leadership ability and a high degree of ethical and professional standards. Must be trusted by peers, and superiors, and must be willing to accept responsibility for their performance.
- The ability to communicate effectively with operators, other support staff and the Shift Supervisor and / or other company managers.
- Must have a valid State issued driver’s license and be an approved driver in accordance with the company’s driving policy.
- Ability to obtain a fork lift license and to safely handle materials.
- Ability to handle stressful employee situations in an effective manner.
- Treats all employees in a consistent, fair, and respectful manner.
- Ability to excel in a team-based environment.
- 2-3 years of experience working within a IATF 16949, or similar, quality management system.
- 1-2 years of experience using checking fixtures to verify product compliance to specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Ability to work with computers and bar code scanning equipment.
