Our client, a leading long-term care facility, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing to lead their nursing team.
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing operations, including staff supervision, policy development, and resident care assessments.
Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership and supervision to all nursing staff in the facility, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to promote quality care and compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and continued employment of nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and ongoing skill development.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing employee conduct, providing guidance and disciplinary action as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of resident health needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
Requirements :
- Current State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- 5 years of healthcare management experience, preferably in dementia or elder care
- Evidence of strong organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to promoting a positive work environment.
- Experience with assisted living, LALD preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Strength in budgeting and fiscal responsibility
