A highly regarded CPA firm here in West Michigan is looking to hire an experienced Sr. Level CPA to join their team. This position would involve providing high level of tax compliance, accounting, and business advisory services to our clients.
This firm has a close-knit team of roughly 30 individuals, many of which are long term employees. CPA Responsibilities :
- Provide professional accounting, tax and planning services including preparation of financial statements and complex tax returns for a range of individuals and business entities
- Consult with clients on key financial decisions
- Monitor progress of engagement in relation to due dates
- Grow strong client relationships and participate in firm marketing activities
- Mentor less experienced team members
- Review prepared tax returns.
- Assist with educating and equipping other team members CPA Qualifications :
- CPA license
- CPA license
- Master of Taxation a plus
- Experience with Thompson Reuters accounting software a plus
- Management skills and experience
- Ability to work with and train staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
- Ability to review all types of business, personal and trust / estate tax returns
- Ability to compose written tax advice and communicate with government agencies
- Self-motivated and ability to manage multiple deadlines
