Investment Funds Associate

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Investment Funds Associate to join their prestigious firm in New York. They have an immediate opening for a talented individual with expertise in the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act, eager to contribute to a leading team in the legal industry.

Responsibilities :

• Provide legal support for closed-end funds such as tender offer funds, interval funds, and business development companies.
• Assist clients in the formation and ongoing representation of closed-end and open-end funds (experience with ETFs is a plus).
• Advise clients on compliance with the Investment Company Act, Investment Advisers Act, and other relevant regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including prospectuses, investment management agreements, and other corporate contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams to ensure comprehensive client service delivery.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments affecting the investment funds industry and provide strategic advice to clients.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
• Demonstrated experience supporting closed-end funds is essential; experience with open-end funds and / or ETFs is a plus.
• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New York.
