Job Overview :
The General Maintenance Technician provides clients expert maintenance and repairs in the Twin Cities. Gittleman Construction and Maintenance has over 40 years of experience in the construction and maintenance business employing a team of highly skilled experienced tradespeople, many of whom have been with the company for over 20 years.
Your Responsibilities :

Maintain a Safe Jobsite
- Maintain OSHA Safety Compliance
- Help maintain all safety related items such as First Aid Kit and all related forms
- Report all injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
- Operate the necessary equipment for each project accurately and safely as directed
- Maintain familiarity and abide by all company safety regulations and policies at all times
- Inspect the jobsite daily to detect hazards; take necessary corrective action to eradicate hazards whether it be consulting your supervisor or taking direct corrective action
Maintain High Customer Experience Standards
Respect all association managers, homeowners, contractors, company personnel, and abide by all state and federal harassment policiesMaintain consistent and prompt follow-up with customersPrioritize work orders and project requestsTeam player with collaborative attitudeMaintain a clean and organized work environmentTasks
Provide manual labor for maintenance, repair, or replacement at our client facilitiesComplete each individual task / project assigned within industry standards or as directedPerform painting, carpentry, landscaping, grounds cleanup, custodial services, and other miscellaneous light maintenance tasks as assignedSnow removal and application of snow melting chemicals is required during winter seasonParticipate in helping crew members complete needed tasksUse company provided resources to complete tasks professionally and efficientlyDrive company vehicles and personal vehicles as required with proof of valid license and insuranceWork on a scheduled and “On-Call” basis as assigned (some rotational emergency after-hours on-call is required)Perform other duties as assignedCommunication
Communicate with your supervisor, before the next day of work proceeds, to keep informed of the agenda for the next working dayConsistent and prompt follow-up with customersRecord and accurate individual timecard with all hours worked with the correct job number assigned to each job, with a detailed description of services performed and submit on a daily basis via electronic deviceNotify Association Managers concerting the need for major repairs or additions to building systemsRequisition supplies and equipment needs to complete work ordersSkills & Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3+ years as a Maintenance Technician in similar field is requiredDrywall and painting experienceValid Driver’s LicenseUnderstanding of property maintenance service industryGeographical knowledge of Twin Cities areaProficiency using a smartphoneCPO or Boiler License is a plus (not required)Physical Requirements :

Ability to work rotating after hours "On-Call" shifts (roughly every 7-8 weeks)
Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours each workdayAbility to adjust, lift, push, and pull heavy objects a minimum of 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and balance regularlyAbility to do ladder / step work which would include carrying ladders, scaffolding, and walking up / down stairsFrequent exposure to moving mechanical partsContact with sharp, hot and / or very cold supplies and equipmentMust maintain safety procedures at all times to prevent work injuriesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Compensation : $25-$30 an hour
