Day in the life of a Home Health Physical Therapist :

Patient Evaluation and Treatment Planning : Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities, mobility, and functional status in their home environment.

Develop personalized treatment plans focusing on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility.

Implementation of Therapeutic Interventions : Provide skilled physical therapy interventions tailored to each patient's needs, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and gait training.

Educate patients on proper techniques and strategies to promote recovery and prevent further injury.

Patient and Caregiver Education : Educate patients and their caregivers on exercises, mobility aids, and home modifications that enhance safety and independence.

Provide guidance on managing pain, optimizing physical function, and achieving treatment goals outside of therapy sessions.

Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.

Communicate regularly with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to update patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and address any concerns.

Current Openings : Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, weekend rotation

Compensation :

The pay range for this position is $75,019 - $93,774 / year. The starting pay rate will be based on years of experience.

Mileage Reimbursement at 58.5 cents per mile

Ability to pass a pre-hire background check, pre-employment health assessment, and drug screen

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, valid insurance, and clean driving record

At least one year of full-time work experience in a hospital or long-term care setting and / or home care experience required

Graduate of a physical therapy degree from a physical therapist education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education

Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of Iowa.
