Job Description :
We are seeking Medical Technologists to perform a full range of automated and non-automated laboratory procedures in the following areas :
- Chemistry
- Urinalysis
- Hematology
- Serology
- Bacteriology
- Immunohematology
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluate specimen suitability for analysis and prepare specimens while maintaining their physiologic properties.
- Perform and monitor test procedures, recognizing and correcting any malfunctions.
- Conduct quality control procedures and maintain records for quality control reports.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring correct operation through quality control checks.
- Evaluate the validity of test data, correlating with patient history and medications.
- Perform additional tests as needed to clarify abnormal results and report them directly to the physician.
- Generate and edit laboratory results in the computer system.
- Accession and receive samples for in-house testing or reference laboratory send-outs.
- Perform phlebotomy for patient specimen collection.
Requirements :
- Degree : Bachelor's degree.
- Education : Graduate from a medical technology program accredited by NAACLS.
- Certification : Current certification / registration from ASCP or AMT.
- Experience : Minimum one year of experience within the past 5 years.
- References : 3 professional references.
Shifts :
- 1st Shift : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. 4 : 30 p.m.
- 2nd Shift : Monday through Friday, 3 : 30 p.m. Midnight.
- Overtime may be required on an as-needed basis.
