Responsibilities
- Install, train, and service Topcon Machine Control systems on heavy equipment including Dozers, Motor Graders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Compactors, Pavers, and Curb Machines.
- Troubleshoot complex issues to improve machine performance or complete repairs.
- Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues.
- Perform Pre and Post Sale Technical Support assistance for customers and the sales team via phone, email, and remote desktop.
Qualifications
- Mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and technical aptitude required.
- Hydraulics and Electronics aptitude. Troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems will be required.
- Customer Service and Support skills.
- Strong knowledge of computers.
- Physically capable of climbing onto large equipment and lifting to 75 pounds.
- Work will be outside in the elements (rain, cold, heat)
- Willingness to travel 80%. Travel requirements fluctuate depending on business requirements and are subject to change.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Education & Experience
- AS or equivalent field experience working on heavy equipment is required.
- Operation of heavy construction equipment.
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and technical troubleshooting.
- Machine Control installation experience is preferred.
