Senior Project Manager - Real Estate Development
gpac is partnering with a well-established real-estate company focused on mixed-use, multi-family, and affordable housing.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join the team and take on new challenges, as well as professional growth.
The Senior Project Manager will be primarily responsible for managing the planning, development and construction processes from pre-development through construction completion, as well as managing a team of internal and external resources.
This role requires 5+ years of ground-up development, and pre-development due-diligence experience, including entitlements, zoning, permitting and local, county, and state regulations.
In this role, the Senior Project Manager will :
- Lead the pre-development process, including due-diligence, master-planning, entitlements and zoning.
- Manage design and construction documents, including review and quality assurance / control.
- Oversee the overall project and the team of internal, external and vendor resources.
- Establish and monitor project goals, schedules and budget, both short and long-term.
- Ensure the project meets all design and construction requirements, including regulatory and code compliance.
- Negotiate contracts and manage third-party resources.
- Be involved in operations, asset management and marketing efforts.
- Maintain relationships with public and private partners.
Essential skills for this Senior Project Manager include :
- Strong understanding of real estate development, including entitlements, zoning, construction and financing.
- Proficiency in pre-development due-diligence, design and construction processes.
- Background in LIHTC and other types of affordable housing.
- Excellent organizational, communication and negotiation skills.
- Leadership, management and people skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects / responsibilities.
