The Maintenance tech is responsible for keeping assigned areas of congregate and non-congregate living spaces in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.

Priorities of this position will include turning over rooms upon exit of residents, daily cleaning and sanitizing of common areas, and complying with all health and safety standards and policies.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Tech’s core activities through DMSS will include : Assist in maintaining the assigned facility (primarily inside the building, with limited duties outside, as assigned by supervisor) in a clean and sanitary condition, including but not limited to replenishing bathroom and sanitation supplies, cleaning surface areas, vacuum / mop / sweep floors, emptying trash, and other areas of concern in the facility as defined by the immediate supervisor and Program ManagerResponsible for cleaning of guest rooms after move-out, which may include painting and minor repairs when requested.

Perform general building upkeep and maintenance, including but not limited to : changing light bulbs, clean air filters (3 months), check fire extinguishers, floor maintenance, gutters, smoke detector / emergency exit checks, and advise supervisor of repairs or supplies needed.

Assist in maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the cleaning of the facility.Inform supervisor of any building and / or equipment repairs needed.

Assist in providing both inside and outside security and safety of the building and its occupants.Refer all guest requests to appropriate staff.

Maintain ongoing professional relationship with residents and staff.Performs other duties as required.Education, Experience, Skills, and QualificationsWork experience in custodial, maintenance, and / or housekeeping preferredMust have the ability to speak, read, and write in the English language.
