We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Systems Admin (Linux Clustering) in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry based in Fort Worth, Texas.
This role requires a person who is proficient in Linux clustering, with the ability to manage and configure SLURM. The ability to automate scripting in Python / Bash / Shell is also a key part of this role.
Responsibilities :
- Administer Linux cluster systems in a healthcare environment.
- Configure and manage SLURM for optimal system performance.
- Use Python, Bash, and Shell scripting languages for automation tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux clustering and SLURM.
- Monitor system performance and implement adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the system, adhering to best practices.
- Collaborate with IT team to optimize system performance.
- Document all processes and actions taken.
- Provide technical assistance and support as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Linux clustering.
- Proven experience in Linux system administration
- Prior experience with Linux Clustering
- Proficiency in Python and Shell Scripting
- Familiarity with Slurm workload manager
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of industry best practices in system administration and security
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to provide after-hours support as needed
- Relevant certifications in Linux system administration would be advantageous.
