Elementary School Social Worker : 2024-2025 School Year

We are looking for a full-time Elementary School Social Worker in a highly supportive and collaborative school with a start date of August 12th.
This position is well-fit for those who enjoy working with students within the special education population. Students will have more day-to-day needs, including Autism or autism-like behavior.
In this position, AnthroMed will be with you every step of the way; providing support and resources to meet your students’ needs best.

Job Responsibilities of the School Social Worker include :
- Assist in the early recognition and prevention of educational problems
- Monitor student progress and make informed, timely educational decisions.
- Participate in the development of the student’s Individual Education Plan
- Collaboration with staff and families
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success
- Advocate for the well-being of students
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Special Education Teacher :
- Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
- LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois
- Preferred experience in a K-12 setting
