Summary of the Position :
The Equine Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding equine veterinary sales in the assigned region. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and driving revenue growth through product sales in the assigned region.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the equine veterinary industry, proven leadership skills and a track record of successful sales experience.
Roles and Responsibilities : New
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
- Identify opportunities within the equine veterinary marketplace and develop and manage a pipeline of prospects to drive the adoption of Cosequin Equine and Vet exclusive Products within your assigned region.
- Assist in the development of go-to-market strategy and manage the sales process, from lead generation and initial prospect contact through to successful selling of products.
- Responsible for executing on all necessary post sale activities.
- Work closely with marketing, product development and customer service teams to communicate market needs, trends, competitive landscapes, and product opportunities.
- Conduct market research and analysis in the field to identify new business opportunities, industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with equine veterinarians, industry professionals, distributors, and retail partners.
- Drive revenue growth through new partnerships, customer acquisition, upselling and cross-selling of Nutramax product lines.
- Collaborate with the innovations team to identify market needs and opportunities for new product development and lead product launches as the field liaison to veterinary partners.
Perform other assigned duties and follow verbal and written instructions issued by supervisor or designee related to meeting company goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Maintain and utilize expert product knowledge and highly effective selling skills to influence customers to support the use of Nutramax promoted products.
Work cross functionally with sales team members as the equine product sales expert.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trainings, and CE dinners.
Minimum Requirements :
- Equine Veterinary manufacturer / equine animal health industry experience required
- Full knowledge of industry practices
- Ability to work with general guidance to reach company and territory goals
- Demonstrated track record in sales and an outstanding industry reputation
- Travel outside the designated territory 20%.
Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 3 years of equine veterinary sales experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities : None
Territory - Covers NC, SC, and part of GA.
