Position Summary
The position performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of equipment for various departments within a location.
Principle Accountabilities
- Utilizing a variety of tools, repairs and performs preventative maintenance to equipment throughout the plant and building as required by company guidelines.
- Inspects equipment to ensure it is in good working order; replaces damaged parts of equipment with new parts; orders parts and installs appropriate parts to machinery;
welds parts to equipment during repairs or installations as needed. Assists with minor electrical repairs.
Reads drawings and recognizes whether the cranes are set up properly; sets up the form as indicated in the production drawing;
makes indicated modifications to the set-up as necessary.
- Completes welding, assembles hydraulic cranes and troubleshoots as needed
- Collects and discards worn machine parts; cleans machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment;
- removes hardened material from machines or machine parts using abrasives, power and hand tools, sledgehammers, or other equipment;
measures, mixes, prepares, and tests chemical solutions used to clean or repair machinery and equipment.
