Sr. Manager, Data Products will be responsible for planning, building, and organizing the LCG Enterprise Data Warehouse and reporting functions.

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the growth, quality, and efficiency of the Data Management team while also developing, coaching leading a team of developers and data architects.

They will oversee the progress and evolution of modernizing the data analytics stack to meet the needs of our growing organization.

This position is primarily remote, with an expectation to travel to the Novi, MI headquarters at least once per quarter. Additionally, any employee residing within 50 miles of Novi, MI is required to work in the office five days per month.

The job of Sr. Manager - Data Products can be performed in the following states : AL, AZ, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NJ, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TX, UT, VA, WI, and WY.

Essential Functions / Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Lead the data and analytics strategy for LCG while continuing to build on the vision, strategy, standards, and roadmaps surrounding digital innovation focused on growing the business.
  • Manage Data Integration for EDW and Business Intelligence team consisting of ETL developers using tools such as Informatica and business intelligence applications such as BI Reports along with cloud operations team.
  • Coach, counsel and lead a team of developers, architects, and practitioners that focus on the organization's core values.
  • Provide effective leadership to achieve high levels of service and product quality, financial results, and other criteria in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Partner with key cross functional teams to gather requirements and provide solutions through metrics, reports, and dashboards demonstrating basic to advanced functions.
  • Collaborate with other IT leaders for assistance in data extraction and transformation / data movement from various systems into the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Escalate data compliance issues to the attention of management / appropriate partners.
  • Oversee the progress towardsmodernizing the data analytics stackwhich includes the enterprise datawarehouse, cloud analytics, and moving towards AI / ML.
  • Build an enterprise-based data first culture by creating data standards and governance along with communications around the enterprise's data and analytics platform for digital business.
  • Educate various business groups on roles, responsibilities, processes, and deliverables required to support the effective delivery of analytical solutions.
  • Partner with cybersecurity team and help to ensure company compliance with applicable data security, data protection, and regulations around the LCG Data world.
  • Expand the organization's research and analytics offerings, especially in emerging analytical approaches, skills and technologies, focusing them on digital business innovation.
  • Assist in expansion and development of data governance practices to ensure data definitions are standard throughout data landscape.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage and direct staff including recruitment, selection and development to achieve Company goals and objectives.

Minimum Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of professional experience in information technology or application systems.
  • 5+ years of management / supervisory experience with a concentration in information technology or data application systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience with public cloud technologies and frameworks for data management such as Azure, AWS
  • Experience with full software development life cycle in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with concepts such as data lake, cloud analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Skills & Abilities (i.e. technical, organizations, knowledge, etc.) :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen.
  • Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Must have a collaborative management style, strong team development, coaching skills, and the ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management to provide consistent high levels of customer service.
  • Ability to develop both high level and detailed business requirement documentation to support application upgrades, enhancement, and add-on functionality.
  • Strong understanding of modern data warehouse techniques, such as Kimball and Azure focused deployment techniques (required).
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Warehousing (required).
