Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment in the facility.
- Monitor all machines for safety and function.
- Machines should have the ability to produce product safely.
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors and service for equipment parts and services when on site.
- Document all safety, quality, maintenance and production related issues on the appropriate work order forms.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair to all equipment related to manufacturing and quality control personnel.
- Clean and / or replace all conveyance filters.
- Check all equipment for leaks, belt wear, bearings, rough in rotation and heaters and thermal couples function, etc.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness; i.e. dust, oil & grease, dirt, etc.
- Documentation of preventative maintenance, maintain spare parts inventory, repair lists, project lists and daily activity and progress reporting.
Skills & Experience Required :
- Minimum of 1-2-years working in a maintenance role performing machine repair work for electrical and mechanical problems in a manufacturing facility.
- Perform basic safety procedures and checklists for film extrusion lines equipment.
- Previous work on machines used in plastic film products helpful.
Qualities Required :
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to comprehend written instructions, read blueprints and perform basic repairs for a production facility.
Physical Requirements :
Lifting, bending and moving upto 50 lbs
Education :
AA Diploma, Vocational College or HS Diploma
Equipment Used :
Operate maintenance shop equipment, power tools and hand tools.
