Position Summary : As part of the Trauma System Therapy-Community Health Team (TST-CHT), the Peer Support Specialist will work collaboratively with FSRIs team members, Community Health Workers and Behavioral Health Clinicians.

The Peer Support Specialist will assist with a patients needs and well-being through individual goal setting, advocacy, mentorship, education, and addressing / ameliorating social determinant of health barriers.

The Peer Support Specialist may have lived experience which may come from individual or family experiences / interactions with a variety of systems.

Qualifications :

  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Cultural sensitivity necessary to work with a diverse client population.
  • Knowledge of computers and medical records required.
  • Possession of a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and auto insurance is also required.
  • Complete necessary immunizations needed to work in a health care setting.
  • Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
