Senior Accountant
Job Description
Senior Accountant - Houston, TX 77027 Looking to hire a Senior Accountant with a fundamental understanding of accounting principles and practices and a strong attention to detail.
Candidates are expected to be able to work well under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines. Responsibilities :
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, make general ledger entries, and assist with month and year end reporting
- Assist with banking transactions (e.g., deposits, setting up ACH and wire transactions, etc.)
- Update and reconcile financial records such as invoices, disbursements, receipts, credit card transactions, and third-party payments in QuickBooks
- Special projects as assigned by Accounting Manager and / or CFO
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum 5 years of accounting work experience
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Office
- Must be proficient in QuickBooks Must be comfortable working in an office environment (this is not a remote and / or hybrid role)
