Position Summary :

Transports raw, in process and finished goods as required by production schedule. Takes direction under Production Supervisor as well as Kitchen / Mogul Operators.

Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of product movement from raw material to finished good.

Relies on instructions, pre-established guidelines, experience and judgment to perform the functions of the job and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks autonomously and with proficiency. Works under general supervision. Some degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Work hours : Day Shift Monday-Thursday 6 AM-6 : 30 PM

The Role :

• Operate Sit-down and Walk behind material handling equipment.
• Complete pre-operation equipment checklist and ensure machine is operating adequately before use.
• Basic use of hand tools, as needed
• Recognition of tooling for incoming product run to assist in changeovers
• Perform established method of order retrieval (FIFO), finished goods to customers according to specified instructions and from the dedicated staging area.
• Creates computer generated labels and documents, light to moderate data entry required.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
• Ability to use computer to locate, store and research items.
• Record and document overconsumption of raw materials used to shift

The Candidate :

• EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : Three to five ears of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MATH ABILITY : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• TECHNICAL SKILLS : To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess knowledge of basic computer programming and mechanical functioning.
• CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES : No certifications needed

Physical Requirements :

The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 2500 pounds.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and taste or smell.
