As a strategic leader of L&D and Leadership development, you will work closely with leadership across the organization to plan, design, and execute a comprehensive multi-year L&D and Leadership & management development strategy and roadmap.

What You'll Do at Pega :

The Director of L&D will drive the company's global L&D and leadership development strategy. This role will oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at building employee skills, fostering career growth, and cultivating leadership capabilities across all levels of the organization.

The director will lead a dedicated team, ensuring that all initiatives align with the company’s strategic priorities and support a learning and high-performing culture.

  • Build a comprehensive & integrated multi-year L&D and Leadership & management development strategy and roadmap for the organization.
  • Partner with leaders, business partners, and business enablement teams across the company to develop a comprehensive view of skills & capability requirements and develop approaches / strategies to bridge the gap.
  • Develop a balanced portfolio of blended learning & development methods for all levels across the company.
  • Develop a learning approach that balances the need for global consistency in quality and standards while meeting the localized needs of cultural and regional preferences.
  • Implement a continuous loop of feedback to keep a pulse on and evaluate development needs across the organization.
  • Evaluate current methods, offerings, partners, and tools / platforms to help us scale and expand our global learning portfolio.
  • Infuse external mindset / thought leadership to leverage technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) to promote a culture of continuous learning.

Stay abreast with the latest innovations and experiment with new tools and approaches to learning.

  • Lead and develop a highly passionate and skilled global team of professionals to develop and deliver effective, scalable, and repeatable solutions that best meet the current and future business needs.
  • Develop talent on the team through career guidance and mentorship.
  • Create and lead end-to-end plans to deliver programs and projects involving multiple teams, regions, and stakeholders across various functions.
  • Collaborate with COEs to align performance and top talent development with leadership & skills development.
  • Develop a comprehensive set of metrics to evaluate the impact of learning on employee and organizational performance. Use the data to identify trends and make informed decisions about current and future investments.
  • Develop a robust communication strategy by clearly articulating outcomes & impact.

Who You Are :

  • Reporting to the VP of DEIB, Learning, and Talent, you are a senior member of the team charged with building, implementing, and measuring strategies and programs that strengthen learning for all Pega employees
  • You are a key strategic partner on matters related to talent development. You will partner closely with the VP to develop and bring to life the vision in a practical, tangible, and timely manner.
  • You are a leader in L&D domains who has worked across different cultures in a global environment. You are a resilient strategic thinker who enjoys creative solutions and doesn’t shy away from a challenge.

What You've Accomplished :

  • Master’s degree in HR / L&D / or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in L&D and leadership development, with at least 5+ years in a global leadership role leading the function
  • Proven track record of developing L&D and leadership strategy for a global company
  • Exceptional leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Strategic leader with the ability to develop long-term plans that align with the organizational growth objectives
  • Significant experience in a global environment, preferably in technology companies
  • Significant cross-cultural awareness and adapts inclusive practices
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and flexible / adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Preferred non-technical skills / experience
