Description :

We have openings for experienced emergency department / inpatient acute care nurses. Currently offering up to $10,000 in recruitment bonuses for qualified energetic RN’s who are passionate about nursing and are interested in a steady weekend schedule.

We will consider full-time 10 or 12-hour shifts Friday, Saturday, Sunday with a higher pay incentive. Considerably higher base rate and limited holiday requirements.

Our ED Observation Flex Unit is a fast-paced, rapid turnover admissions unit, primarily serving admitted patients who are awaiting inpatient bed placement.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for collaboration, communication & facilitation of optimal provision of care in addition to being involved in the provision of direct care of patients and families.
• Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring & evaluation of the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Provide quality patient monitoring, med / surge nursing interventions and hands on skills including telemetry, post-surgical care, respiratory support and more.
• Ensures quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice.
• Ensure a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across the continuum.
• Participates in monitoring quality metrics specific to the department & ensure complete & accurate documentation in the patient record.
• Act as 1) mentor; 2) clinician; 3) educator; 4) consultant / collaborator ; and 5) navigator.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification And Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the State of New York.
• Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred, according to NYS requirements.
• One-year Med Surg or Critical Care Experience.
• Specialty credentialing & educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred.
• Maintains all licensures and certifications according to NYS regulations and specialty area requirements.
• Participates in continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Pay Range : $53.30- $56.45

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.

The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
