School Occupational Therapist (OT) - Full-Time

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) for full-time positions within school districts in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Requirements :
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply. This may include :
- Holding a valid license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Idaho.
- Possessing a master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Demonstrating knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education and related services.
- Having experience working with children and adolescents with a variety of disabilities and developmental delays.
- Passing a background check and any additional screenings required by the district.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' functional abilities, deficits, and needs related to activities of daily living, sensory processing, fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, and other areas of occupational performance.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' identified needs and promote participation and success in educational activities and environments.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, activities, interventions, and accommodations, to improve motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, independence, and functional performance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate occupational therapy services into students' educational programs and activities, and to support students' academic, social, and behavioral goals.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings to develop, review, and revise students' IEP goals, objectives, and services, and to monitor progress toward goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of occupational therapy services, evaluations, progress notes, and reports, in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Provide consultation, training, and support to teachers, parents, and other school staff regarding strategies, accommodations, and modifications to support students' occupational therapy needs in the classroom and other educational settings.
- Participate in professional development activities, trainings, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to occupational therapy practice, evidence-based interventions, and best practices in school-based therapy.
