Registered Nurse - PACU Critical DT

The PACU Registered Nurse independently plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care and policy and procedure.
Provides direct nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care and policy and procedure. Assumes teaching and leadership responsibilities.
Participates in unit committee and quality improvement activities. Need minimal supervision.
- Document medical and nursing patient care information
- Perform thorough admission assessment
- Deliver patient care and treatment using problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Initiate and coordinate patient / family teaching
- Evaluate outcomes of care to determine if patient needs were met
- Maintain communication with patient family / significant other
- Assist as needed in all peri-anesthesia settings
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida. Experience as required in posting for dept.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Intermediate computer knowledge : Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
See specific requirements for each specialty area : Pre-Op - 1 year acute care RN experience required. Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
PACU - 1-2 years critical care RN experience required. Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association for North Naples Campus and must be acquired within first 90 days.
