RI Energy, Electric Substations Resource Coordinator
Job Purpose :
The Resource Coordinators at RIE coordinate, schedule and deliver all of the Electric Distribution work to both internal and external field crews compliments for all RI.
This specific role works closely with the Supervisors for the Internal Electric Substations Group.
- Full Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- To manage resource assignments in the most efficient, cost effective way to meet the work plan for Rhode Island Energy, based on workforce availability, performance, geographic optimization and schedule optimization this includes scheduling to full resource availability, in real time
- Responsible for scheduling and coordination of mostly short Opex Substations maintenance projects and inspections to internal crews, ensuring all need dates are met
- Monitor work backlog in the area to insure timely completion of all tasks
- Manage, balance and coordinate internal resources in order to optimize the work plan for Summer vs Winter months working in indoor vs outdoor substations
- Identify scheduling and need date risks due to resource constraints, field conditions, material and or equipment issues, and recommend appropriate action
- Support divisional reliability activities by making sure all activities are scheduled and progressed
- Facilitate resource meetings with stake holders to ensure optimum scheduling and compliance
- Act as the primary point of contact, providing advice guidance and support to relevant third parties in order to ensure everyone is informed and aware of changes to substation schedules and resources
- Should be able to develop relationships with key stakeholders in order to fully explain and support the implementation of RIE policies and processes
- Understanding of Electrical Substation Work
Qualifications :
- An Associates’ degree from a technical school is desired
- 1 plus years’ related experience, preferably in the utility industry (5 plus years exp for Sr.)
- Knowledge and experience of scheduling, operations, project and program management
- Knowledge and understanding of Rhode Island’s policies and practices and how to apply them effectively is preferred
- Planning skills including the ability to prioritize assignments
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate personal accountability for delivering performance excellence
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills in systems like; utility Work management and other Data Systems, as well as MS Office applications.
Experience in Primavera P6 is a plus.
Ability to travel as required to various locations throughout RI with a Valid driver's license
Note :
Pay Range : $50 - $57 Hourly
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market;
the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
