JOB TITLE (#25087) : Registered Nurse / Med / Surg - Lawrenceville, GA

Minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care, medical / surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Med / Surg Registered Nurse to fill an opening with an Outpatient Clinic located in Lawrenceville, Georgia

Schedule of the Registered Nurse :

This is a Full-time position

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse :

• A medical-surgical Nurse is a professional nurse who provides a holistic approach to patients requiring acute medical or surgical interventions
• Assessment and care of patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses and with a wide range of treatment modalities
• Care of patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
• Inserting and maintenance of peripheral lines
• Maintaining central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
• Providing emergency care as indicated
• Administration of medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenously) and blood products
• Verification of physician orders
• Complete and accurate documentation of care according to facility / unit policies
• Phlebotomy and bedside testing
• Psychological support of patients as indicated
• Complex wound dressing care and maintenance
• May be required to work with COVID-19-positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care, medical / surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting exclusive of agency assignments and must have worked within the last 6 months in the above settings
• Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master's degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred
• Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States)
