ANATOMIC PATHOLOGIST - The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in anatomic pathology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
The primary job assignment (75%) includes diagnostic necropsy and biopsy service, teaching in the veterinary professional curriculum.
The remaining assignment allows for abundant opportunities in collaborative research or other scholarly activities. Areas of College research emphasis are infectious diseases, microbial pathogenesis, immunity, parasitology, toxicology and cancer therapy.
Required qualifications for this position include DVM or equivalent degree and ACVP certification. A PhD degree is preferred, but not required.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Rabies vaccination or proof of adequate titer is required.
Unpleasant odors and occasional noisy equipment.
Handling of chemicals, handling of animal biological agents (and potentially communicable diseases), and use of electric equipment.
