The Saint Louis Chess Club is a dedicated nonprofit organization focused on promoting chess in schools throughout the Saint Louis region.
The Saint Louis Chess Club has expanded its scholastic chess initiative into hundreds of classrooms and with numerous community partners.
Each year, our instructors teach thousands of students and introduce chess as an engaging, educational tool that fosters critical thinking, cultivates strategic planning, and encourages intellectual curiosity.
Our programs not only aim to engage students in the game but also to instill valuable life skills and inspire a love of learning.
Our instructors connect with students in diverse settings - from classrooms to scholastic tournaments, field trips to pocket parks, and one-on-one lessons - facilitating their exploration of chess through tailored, interactive experiences.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chess Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate for this role should have a solid background in both education and chess, demonstrating an enthusiasm for working with students, and the capability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
Success in this position requires previous teaching experience, a profound passion for promoting the game of chess and enhancing students' cognitive abilities, alongside strong communication skills.
The Chess Teacher will be entrusted with the planning of enriching chess lessons, delivering high-quality instruction, and assessing students' progress in mastering chess strategies.
