Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Podiatry) - Raeford, NC

Job Description :
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant. This is a traveling position where as they are on the road every day like a HVAC tech is and home every night.

Working Conditions :
Work is performed indoors in an artificially controlled environment. Travel to satellite sites and / or consumer facilities.
Exposure to biohazards; necessary precautions i.e., surgical gloves, eyewear and face masks.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Educates patients and / or families about preventative care, medical issues, and use of prescribed treatments and / or medications.
- Prescribe medications, corrective devices.
- Refer patients to physicians when symptoms indicative of systemic disorders, such as arthritis or diabetes, are observed in feet and legs.
- Surgically treat conditions such as corns, calluses, ingrown nails, tumours, bunions, cysts, and abscesses.
- Ensure assistant properly maintains medical equipment.
Qualification / Experience :
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) Program
- 1 year Podiatry experience (Preferred)
License / Certifications :
- Active NP / PA License in the State of North Carolina
- Active board certification as an NP / Active board certification as an PA
- Active DEA license
