Job Description
This requisition is to fill the position of Production Planning and Control Sr. Manager to support functional areas including Master Production Planning, Commodity Buy Planning, Proposal support, and Production Systems support at Missiles and Fire Control Orlando.
The job scope includes the management of 8-10 direct report managers, associate managers or team leads with a total staff of 35-50 employees consisting of salaried exempt / non-exempt salaried and / or represented / non-represented hourly employees in the execution of tasks across multiple programs and areas within the Production, Planning and Control function and collaboration with other sites with in the Missiles and Fire Control Enterprise and Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Provide oversight and leadership for all programs in the business area over the PP&C Program leads and all subordinate positions.
Demonstrated leadership experience including selection, training, performance assessment, work delegation, discipline actions and recognition of employees.
Ability to assign projects to organizational unit by leading team of managers and / or staff to meet critical schedules, resolve complex and time sensitive technical or operational issues.
Develops and administers budget, schedule and performance standards
Prior experience in planning, preparation, issuance and control of production schedules and material requirements to ensure controlled flows of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
This position requires the candidate to have experience working in a union contract environment.
Work outside of the normal operating hours may be required
Candidate must possess Full Spectrum Leadership qualities and an ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment is essential with a focus on Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Continuous Improvement.

- Lean 6S Black Belt
- Experience supporting Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
- ASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Knowledge of industry wide best practices and processes for managing material flow throughout the entire production supply chain.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) extensive user experience and / or implementation.
- Hands-on experience in supply chain transformation strategies, digital transformation, process reengineering, and / or major systems deployments
- Understanding of process engineering and software development lifecycle, including gathering, analyzing, and defining business and functional requirements
- SAP experience related to Production Operations.
- Control Account Manager (CAM) certified.
