Invesco Mortgage Capital, Inc. is a publicly held mortgage real estate investment trust (REIT) that trades on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE : IVR).
The Company is primarily focused on investing in, financing and managing mortgage-backed securities and other mortgage-related assets.
IVR is externally managed by Invesco Advisors.
Your Role
The Sr Financial Reporting Analyst reports to IVR’s Senior Manager Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting and has the primary responsibility of supporting various external and internal financial reporting and operational finance functions of IVR.
You Will Be Responsible For :
- Assisting in preparation of SEC filings including 10-Q’s, 10-K’s and 8-K’s
- Performing analyses on key metrics to identify trends and analyze variances
- Preparing monthly expense reimbursement summary
- Tracking and monitoring daily share transactions
- Researching technical accounting issues and preparing memorandums to support solutions
- Training, overseeing and reviewing the work of international resources
- Assisting with internal and external audits
- Assisting with SOX compliance including providing and coordinating deliverables
- Coordinating internal and external wire transfers
- Preparing ad hoc requests as necessary to support senior management’s decision making
The Experience You Bring :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- CPA or CPA candidacy is preferred
- 3-5+ years accounting experience
- Prior SEC reporting experience or public accounting experience with exposure to SEC filings is required
- Workiva software knowledge strongly preferred
- Financial services industry experience is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in an environment of change and be open to new challenges and opportunities
- Ability to work hands-on in a team environment
