Description :
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of our company's stock and supplies, ensuring inventory levels meet operational needs while minimizing excess or shortages. Their scope will include tracking inventory, conducting audits, coordinating with other departments, and optimizing stock management. They may also be involved in developing inventory control procedures, analyzing inventory data, and contributing to a positive team environment
Core Responsibility :
- Coordinate stock movement per schedule provided by Plant Scheduling Coordinator
- Collaborate and direct materials movement with Materials Handler, Tool Room Attendant, Fabrication, and Warehouse
- Coordinate with Quality that FAI’s and 10% stock inspections are identified and completed prior to moving materials to a job
- Identify and communicate any damaged or missing stock to the appropriate departments
- Label materials picked for jobs accordingly ensuring materials are accurately tracked through the system
- Perform cycle counts on a weekly basis following cycle count schedule and any requested counts
- Maintain record of problem inventory and report accordingly
- Complete inventory adjustments as needed during cycle counts and order picking processes
- Transfer materials in the system once it is staged and labelled accordingly
- Other tasks as assigned
