Responsibilities :
School LPNs conduct physical healthcare assessments and screenings, including temperature checks, vision, hearing, dental, and nutritional assessments.
School LPNs provide counseling and guidance to students, parents and staff regarding health-related attendance problems.
Job duties include, but are not limited to :
- Collect and document data regarding student's health status, such as immunizations and nursing care
- Communicate essential information regarding treatments provided and observations of the student to the School RN
- Administer first aid and care to students who are ill or injured according to district protocols and under the direction of the RN
- Accompany students that require medical attention during transportation
