Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technology and Data - Software Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Glen Allen, VA.
This is a 12 + month contract position.
Requirements :
- 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience with large-partitioned tables and query optimization
- Ability to read, write, debug, tune and maintain large, complex queries including analytic and aggregation clauses
- Experience with PL / SQL including Oracle Object types and Pipelined Table Functions
- Familiarity with the Oracle privilege model and how to use PL / SQL procedures to enable specific privileged operations while restricting the privileges of the application user accounts
- Experience with partition operations / maintenance including creating, merging, dropping and exchanging partitions
Desired skills :
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Experience building and supporting large batch systems
- Familiarity with DBMS PARALLEL EXECUTE
- Familiarity with partition based procedural parallelism
