HR Compliance Generalist
Position Summary :
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the U.S., is expanding our team of HR professionals!
The Human Resource Compliance Generalist will oversee daily compliance functions such as (but not limited to) : performing regular audits, collaborating with different departments to ensure company policies are upheld, managing employee concerns related to pay and leave.
Compensation : Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range $75k-88k

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Work closely with and report to Sr. HR Compliance Manager, assisting with regular projects and data analytics
Perform regular audits in a variety of areas to ensure state and federal laws are upheld along with company policies. Present audit findings to management and assist in implementing solutions
Engage with all active employee contracts, and assist in ensuring all elements of bargaining agreements are upheld. Field questions and concerns from union employees, managing solutions and communication between them and the company
Assists in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices;
assists in reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance
Regularly research upcoming employment law changes
Regularly run data reports or engaging with management to collect pertinent information in projects and audits
Regularly collaborate with other departments to uphold company policies along with federal and state employment laws
Support payroll team in wage and time audits as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Key Competencies and Minimum Education :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate with multiple department leaders
Advanced in the Microsoft suite, especially in Excel
Experience with working in an HRIS system, namely Peoplesoft
Skilled in auditing documents and spreadsheets, and able to present information in concise way
Able to manipulate reports and collect data / information
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to perform audits
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, and ability to research laws and regulations to stay in compliance
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, data analytics, or related field required.
3 years minimum of HR experience
SHRM-CP a plus
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at times.
If working remotely, may be required to occasionally travel to the company’s headquarters in Walnut Creek, CA or Charlotte, NC
If working in-office, may be required to work at the company’s headquarters 1-3 days per week
