Technician - Entry Level (I) - HVACIntertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) and leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world’s leading brands and companies, is actively seeking several people as Technician to join our Electrical team in our Plano, TX office for all shifts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in HVAC testing!What are we looking for?The Technician will support the HVAC Electrical business by setting up and performing a variety of tests on HVAC appliances for performance.

The Technician will perform tests in a both a laboratory and site environment. We’re looking for technically competent individuals who will follow and enforce all safety requirements / company policies and provide exceptional customer service.

What you'll do : Set up test, test equipment and test apparatus.Prepare test samples.Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.

Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitudeDiligent safety practices, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by managementWork closely with lead / crew members and take direction to complete projects within certain policies and proceduresDaily cleanup and maintenance of projects, work equipment, work site, vehicles and organize all tools and materialsPerform site survey activities with a teamAttend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safetyTroubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipmentPerform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED0 years of experienceComputer skillsAbility to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlinesAbility to use basic shop equipment and various hand toolsAbility to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective mannerAbility to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructionsMust be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time managementAbility to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formatsMust be customer focused and quality driven.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, or as business dictates.A valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
