Key Responsibilities

  • Backlog Ownership : Build, manage, and continuously refine the product backlog for the Enterprise Data & Analytics team in a retail context.
  • Requirement Synthesis : Partner with multiple teams to gather, interpret, and synthesize data enablement requirements into actionable features and stories.
  • Product Development : Translate partner requests into structured data products, identifying opportunities to generalize solutions rather than building one-offs.
  • Metrics-Driven Decisions : Leverage data, KPIs, and analytical insights to validate assumptions, prioritize initiatives, and measure success.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to align on priorities and deliver data products that meet business needs.
  • Communication : Clearly and confidently articulate product goals, progress, and value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Prioritization : Balance competing demands from partner teams and ensure decisions align with broader enterprise data strategy.
  • Agility : Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Mindset : Define and evolve the roadmap for data products, balancing immediate business needs with long-term scalability.

Qualifications

  • 6 10 years of experience in Product Management or Product Owner for Data Product Ownership , preferably in the retail domain .
  • Proven experience managing enterprise data and analytics backlogs and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, data enablement, data modeling, data pipeline and data governance .
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban) and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge technical and business worlds.
  • Skilled at using data and metrics to drive product decisions and evaluate outcomes.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and creative thinker with a track record of building scalable, impactful solutions.
