AWS Data Engineer

Position Description :

CGI has an immediate need for an AWS Data Engineer to join our team. This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.

S, preferred location is Reston, VA, Plano, TX or Columbia, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

• Design and develop various on-going projects for migrating on-premises applications to the AWS Cloud.
• Working with Architecture team for design and implementation of Big & Fast Data Infrastructure on AWS cloud.
• Guide other teams to design, develop, and deploy data sets and tools that support product use cases.
• Will be supporting DevOps and other PROD support teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

• 8+ years of Python, SQL, PySpark development experience
• Strong SQL development experience, who can generate complex SQL statements
• 5+ years of experience in building and deploying applications in AWS (EC2, S3, Glue, Batch, ECS Fargate, Dynamo DB, EMR, RDS, ELB, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Redshift, Cloud Front, CloudWatch etc.)
• 5+ years of API development experience using AWS services
• Experience with building RESTful Web Services
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Desired Experiences :

• AWS Developer / Solutions Architect certification(s) will be preferred
• AI / Machine Learning experience will be a plus

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
