The Role
Client technology team is looking for a Data Engineer who'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure.
Your expertise will ensure efficient data acquisition, processing, and staging. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications :
Responsibilities :
- Relational Data Modeling :
- Design and optimize relational database structures (e.g., Oracle, SQL).
- Create data models that align with business requirements.
- SQL and PL / SQL Development :
- Write and optimize SQL and PL / SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Develop stored procedures for data processing.
- Snowflake Development :
- Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing.
- Experience with Snow SQL and Snowpark.
- ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) :
- Build ETL pipelines using tools like SnapLogic and Informatica.
- Extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into target systems.
- Programming Skills :
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for scripting and automation.
- Cloud Technologies :
- Exposure to AWS cloud services for data storage and processing.
- Reporting :
- Preferred experience with Power BI for data visualization.
Qualifications :
- Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant experience as a Data Engineer.
- Technical Skills :
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL / SQL, and database development.
- ETL expertise using SnapLogic or similar tools.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake).
- Scripting skills in Python and JavaScript.
- Soft Skills :
- Analytical approach and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration.
The Team
Client Performance Attribution technology team is responsible for the production of daily transaction-based attribution analytics at the holding's level for use by the application's consumers who include Senior Investment Staff, Portfolio Managers, Chief Investment Officers, Research groups, Distribution Channels, Board of Trustees & Shareholders.
The highly sophisticated performance attribution system is continually improving in response to challenges posed by, among others, changes in investment management strategy, the introduction of new investment products, and changes to upstream or interfacing applications!
