About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Telemetry Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM (3x12 + 4th shift required per month + Every Other Weekend) Guaranteed Hours : 34.
5 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years required, 1 year travel experience for travel positions License : NYS RN License Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have : Telemetry experience in a hospital setting, EPIC experience highly preferred Job Description : - Deliver patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and utilizing the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in management. - Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in delivering nursing care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, while delegating appropriately.
- Educate patients and caregivers, anticipating needs and readiness to learn about their plan of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate efficient allocation of material resources.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, considering their values, preferences, cultural diversity, expressed needs, and knowledge.
- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage in process improvement strategies and quality and safety practices, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective approaches to care regarding equipment, staff, supplies, and resources.
- Participate in formal and informal peer and institutional review processes. - Advance clinical competence in nursing practice, progressing from novice to expert, while contributing to the environment of care.
- Encourage and demonstrate a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, lifelong learning, and innovation for self and others. - Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, nursing department committees, and unit initiatives.
