Summary

Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director, Bids & Proposals, the Proposal Manager will own the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, managing and writing responses to Government, International and Commercial customer requests for information (RFI), proposals and other similar solicitations. You'll drive accountability across teams, championing proposal excellence from initial kickoff to final submission, including determining the appropriate proposal milestones and associated due dates while achieving all internal and external requirements. As part of this process, you will organize and coordinate resources across functions to ensure adherence to deadlines and enforce internal quality control measures to capture new business across space sector markets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead with ownership : from pursuit kick-off through submission, own the proposal plan, schedule, internal reviews, internal communications and every critical milestone in between
• Partner with stakeholders, across business development, pricing, operations, legal, and engineering to gather requirements and develop winning content, ensuring every contributor delivers their piece on schedule
• Elevate staff in conceptualizing and writing proposal content that stands out in competitive evaluations
• Effectively review and dissect customer requirements (i.e., RFI / RFP) to effectively plan and translate complex solicitation language into proposal plans that address every requirement, demonstrate clear understanding and position Terran Orbital as a leader
• Deliver compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer-defined timeframes
• Review every proposal against company policies and industry standards to enforce compliance rigorously
• Partner and coordinate with Business Development & Capture Management personnel, practice leaders, and marketing team to extract required content, including related research projects, and review comments into actionable next steps.
• Direct and generate writing / editing / rewriting efforts as needed for each pursuit
• Generate proposal work-products that address customer requirements and communicate solution designs and specifications in a concise yet thorough manner
• Execute and support gate reviews, color reviews, and solutions development activities driving continuous improvement though each iteration
• Ensure that win themes / value solutions, technical scope, staff qualifications and experience, biographical data, and other marketing materials are accurate, timely, and compelling

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. $100,000—$175,000 USD

Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.

Work Environment

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
