Primary Responsibilities : Reconcile general and subsidiary bank accounts daily, weekly, and monthly. Reconcile and update cash flow projections for upcoming activity.
Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed. Total accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
Allocate end-of-month revenue accordingly by medical center, health plan, and line of business. Maintain point of contact relationship with third party billing company.
Other Responsibilities : Learn the full Accounts Payable cycle : Receive, process, and reconcile invoices and vendor account statements.
Compile and sort documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions. Prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, reports, and other records, and review for accuracy.
Audit invoices by researching discrepancies and approvals for payment. Investigates problems that vendors have with obtaining payment for bills.
Assist with monthly closing process : Reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers. Extract general ledger information.
Compile cost reports and revenue and balance sheets. Complete monthly closing financial statements. Organize and analyze financial documents and accounts.
Prepare special reports and projects as needed for Accounting Manager and CFO. Exposure to other accounting processes : Assist with preparation of audit documents and process.
Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls. Assist in due diligence preparation for upcoming acquisitions.
Collaboration with other departments (Finance, IT, Billing, HR, and Operations.) Preferred Qualifications : A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Some employers may accept an associate's degree with work experience. A minimum of two years of experience in accounting or a related field.
Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills. A high level of proficiency in popular software, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
