The role of the Program Aide (licensed CNA) is to provide quality and safe delivery of personal care services including, but not limited to, serving / feeding of meals (as assigned), laundry, ambulating, toileting, and assist with the implementation of therapeutic / daily activities. The Program Aide will follow a care plan developed by the Program Nurse and will work under their supervision, in accordance with certification standards of the Office of Healthy Aging (formerly known as the Department of Elderly Affairs). Additional tasks may be appointed if said tasks directly support the employee's core responsibilities or are in the best interest of the organization and its clients. This individual would comply with all expectation set forth by the Program Director. POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

• Must have experience working with elderly clients with various diagnoses.
• Must demonstrate a high level of skill in both written and verbal communication while interacting with staff, clients, families, and managers at all levels of the organization.
• Must exhibit strong prioritization skills
• Must be able to assist with activities and events that encourage engagement and socialization
• Must be personable and friendly
• Must encourage client participation in daily activities and general socialization
• Must be able to toilet clients
• Must be able to help clients ambulate
• Must be able to feed clients
• Must exhibit extreme patience, understanding, and resolve under moments of stress
• Must be willing and able to accommodate extra working hours, should the facility require such
• Must be able to assume additional / subsidiary responsibilities as needed EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 3 year of experience within a health care setting; preferably with geriatric patients and mental health clients. Current RI Department of Health - CNA license Current BLS CPR Certification
