Seeking LPN that will assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.ResponsibilitiesInterviews patients to determine medical problems / conditions andDocuments in EMRObtains and records the patient's vital signs and weightAssists physician's orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patientsCollects samples, such as urine and blood from patients for testing and performs routine laboratory tests on samplesSchedules diagnostic studies / surgery and orders x-raysPrepares injections, aspirations, application, and removal of casts, splints, and braces;
performs dressing changes and removes sutures staplesMonitors biohazardous waste and prepares for disposalPrepares Drug screens and Dispenses medicationsReview medical treatment with the patient as instructed by the providerObtains x-ray and imaging results imports outside discsServes as liaison between patient and physicianProvides staff coverage for other clinical personnelCompletes applications for Handicap parking permits, FMLA,May include up to 10 hours a week of marketing (visiting referral sources as needed)Willing to learn phlebotomy at our practiceMust have reliable transportation and be able to travel to different practice locations as neededDisability forms, and Work excusesSchedules all OR cases and maintain surgery scheduleResponsible for all patient phone calls, ensuring proper documentation in EMR of action taken / advice givenLifting up to 10-15lbs frequently 20-50lbs OccasionallyQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
